Supersetting More Than 2 Workouts At A Time In The Gym Should Carry A Mandatory Jail Sentence
This. This son of a gun right here. This is the worst mother hecker in the entire gym. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of awful people at the gym–the naked old dude, the guy who you know is there to just creep on the girls, the dude who always gives you tips on your form even though you didn’t ask, the guy who curls in the squat rack (cough, cough, Rocket, cough, cough). The gym is filled with some of the worst people in the world but out of all the terrible people there, this man right here is the worst.
The dude who is doing approximately 75 different workouts at the same time and is taking up pretty much every bar/weight/space in the whole building. What an asshole.
The thing that sucks the most about these guys is that they’re never even close to being done. You can show up in the middle of the day and this jackass has the entire gym in his general area and says he still has about 4 or 5 more sets to go. Then you can show up later at night and this jackass has the entire gym in his general area and says he still has about 4 or 5 more sets to go. I’m almost convinced that these guys never actually do any lifting. They just sit there the entire time hoping that everybody notices how much shit they have around them. Maybe they’ll do one or two sets just to save face and everything like that. But do any of these guys actually expect anybody to believe that they’re ripping out 5×10 for bent over row, deadlift, skullcrushers, dumbbell press, curls and whatever else this dude has in front of him? Or do they know that we know that they’re just there to sit around with their air pods in and tell everybody that they still have 4 more sets but “you can work in if you want”?
All I’m saying is that if you want to superset in the gym, that’s fine. But just keep it to 2 different workouts. If you want to do a million different things at a time, go join a crossfit gym. If you want to be a normal human being who just goes to the gym so they don’t have to feel extra shitty about all the food and booze they’re about to consume over the weekend, well then you only get 2 workouts per superset maximum. Anything more than that and you should be thrown in jail.
